Inspection Blitz? No Problem for Our Lexington Movers!

Have you ever been driving down the highway and noticed one, two, three, then a fourth police car “waiting in the wings”? One of two things is going on; either you are being much more observant than you normally are, or the state highway patrol is in the middle of a blitz. If you typically drive a few miles over the speed limit, you probably back it off a bit when you realize there are a lot more eyes watching the roads.

Unusual Challenges for our Sumter Movers

Packing up a family’s entire collection of belongings, loading it into a truck, and moving it to a new house is a huge task, but it’s one that our great teams of Sumter movers is trained for. They know how to wrap delicate items carefully, protect items for a long trip, and do it all quickly enough to meet the deadlines. But sometimes just getting our movers to the customer’s house in the first place is a complex challenge of its own! Military installments are known for their security, and for good reason. But when we are hired to help a military family move onto or off a base, sometimes the security issues can cause some serious challenges. Here’s a closer look at those challenges and how our Sumter movers meet them.

Movers are Ready

In our last two blogposts, we told you about the many projects that our Columbia and Orangeburg movers were involved in throughout 2016. If anything, we anticipate being even busier over the coming year! Changes in the national economy, military, and the local business environment in South Carolina all promise to bring more people and companies to the state in the near future, and at Lange Moving Systems, we are ready to help them. Here’s a look forward at what we are expecting in 2017 as well as a look at how Lange Moving Systems is working closely with Arpin Van Lines this year to help the entire parent company get even better at what it does.

Incoming, South Carolina!

We can identify three big areas that we think are going to see significant growth in South Carolina over the next year or so. These three areas are affected by developments at both the national and state levels, and they will undoubtedly be accompanied by an increase in demand for Columbia, Lexington, and Orangeburg movers.

Columbia Movers
Last month, we began our two-part blogpost about all the exciting projects and developments that took place here at Lange Moving Systems in 2016. Today, we tell you about the rest of the things that our West Columbia movers were up to last year. We hope you enjoy our annual “family newsletter”!

Giving Back to Columbia

Columbia, SC is our community, and our company makes it a point to do all that we can to give back to it through many different efforts. The holidays present unique opportunities for our West Columbia movers to help out those in need, with projects like delivering Christmas presents to the Hannah House women’s shelter—something that has become a yearly tradition for Lange Moving Systems. A moving truck is of great use in a situation like that, and we’re so happy to be able to donate the time and equipment to help out. Read More West Columbia Movers: A Look Back at 2016 (Part 2 of 2)

Columbia Movers Get Ready for the Cold

Columbia Movers Get Ready for the Cold

winter moving challenges

The cold weather is on its way! Make no mistake: here in South Carolina the winters are much more mild, comfortable, and free of the dreaded white stuff than they are up north. But we do have a few weeks during the winter when temperatures get down below freezing on a regular basis, and depending on where in the state our Columbia movers are working, they occasionally deal with several inches of snow and ice on the ground. But don’t worry if you are planning on a January or February move—the crews of Lange Moving Systems are ready for the cold, snow, and ice. Read More Columbia Movers Get Ready for the Cold

Lange Moving Systems Brings Home the Gold Again!!

award-winning service

One of the highlights here at Lange Moving Systems is the annual Arpin Van Lines Convention. This event gathers over 100 Arpin agents from all over the USA. There we learn best practices, network with other agents, discuss the latest trends in the industry, and receive awards in various categories. Many of the talks this year were in regard to our effort to continue to work towards a paperless system and the use of electronic logging devices (ELDs). There are a lot of changes happening in our industry and Arpin as well as Lange are always working to be out in front of these changes.

Our South Carolina Movers Make Great Neighbors!

Our South Carolina Movers Make Great Neighbors!

Food banks are lifesaving resources

The Columbia, SC area is where we work, but more importantly, it’s where we live. At Lange Moving Systems, we see our company as a member of a community, and we desire to act as a friendly, generous, and very active neighbor in that community. Chances are good that you have seen our trucks and our folks at local community fundraising activities—perhaps even this month—and those are big priorities in our efforts to give back. But there are also lots of activities that go on behind the scenes, and while our intent is not to brag about what we’ve done, we think you’d be interested to find out about these great partnerships and what they accomplish. We’d also like to invite you to join with us in helping those in our community through great ideas like Move for Hunger.

For Your Orangeburg Movers, Inventory Matters

For Your Orangeburg Movers, Inventory Matters

Orangeburg Movers

The activities that you notice most from your team of Orangeburg movers are probably things like packing, boxing smaller items, wrapping furniture, and carrying things into and out of the moving truck. But there’s one activity that, while a little less visible throughout the move, is very important to the security of the things you own. In fact, the way this activity is handled (or mishandled) often makes the difference between a SC moving company you can trust and one that you shouldn’t. We’re talking about inventory—the process of identifying exactly what needs to be moved and then verifying at the end of the job that each inventoried item was moved correctly. There’s more to it than that, though: here’s the full story.
